You know we are living in extraordinary times.
Many of your alumni are already experiencing the effects of this uncertain economy. Lawyers, accountants and other professionals are being laid off as fast as blue collar workers. By the first of November 1,200,000 million people have been laid off.
The Olzen Zaltsman study we mentioned in the email suggested that your alumni are looking to the alumni association as a resource to help them during the transitions in their lives. We’ve been meeting with alumni professionals and experts over the past year trying to figure out what that meant when it finally dawned on us. The one thing your alumni need is the knowledge and skills to KEEP their job and the knowledge and skills to FIND a new job.
We’ve assembled a team of authors and experts to help your alumni during these critical times. We’ve designed a series of 6 on demand videos your alumni can watch that will give them the confidence and expertise to weather the ups and downs and uncertainties of our economy.

6. Ivan Misner, Chairman of BNI and author of the Everything You Were Afraid to Ask about Networking will present, “How to Build a Network that will Protect Your Career”
Plus, your alumni will have access to an online career tools, techniques on how to find a job using Internet technology.
Here’s how it works!
• We create a private college branded page (including your logo, mascot and colors) you can link to your website and promote to your alumni.
• When your alumni arrive on the page, they will see a video of you or your President welcoming them. You can do this by simply using your webcam, a FlipIT camera or by visiting your TV production lab.
• Alumni can view any of the videos whenever they want
• Your only responsibility will be to promote access to this in emails, phone calls, letters, at events and newsletters. (We’ll provide you a promotional kit that includes banner ads for your website, pdf flyers and a 30 second script you can use in a blast email marketing effort.
• You will have access to stats to see who is using the service and they will be able to share comments and rate the system so we can continue to add more services that benefit your alumni.
There is no long term commitment to the program. Your participation fee will give your alumni one full year of unlimited access to these videos.
